Got my tired ass to the 6:30am … thinking that class will fit my schedule much better!

Back squat: 5-5-5. I did 135-185-135 just to work on form. I think I could’ve maybe done 205, but it’s still a lot of relearning and muscle memory and whatnot.

Push press: 5-5-5 bar-95(3f)-75 … damn, still no upper body strength. This must be rectified!

Quick one:

deadlifts 5-5-5 : i was 225-255-275. My one rep max before was 325, not sure exactly what I should’ve been at here, but it was the first one back.

I HAVE to stop with the hitch at the bottom before I start the lift. What a bad habit!

Kevin and Joe from Foundations were there today. NICE!!!

My version of the WOD was
75 sec Sumo Deadlift (55#)
45 sec plank
75 sec KB Swing (i think 40#)
45 sec wall sitting (this hurts LOL)
75 sec push press (30# each, not much here)
45 sec plank
75 sec squats – this was supposed to be dips, more in a sec
45 sec wall sit
75 sec tuck jumps
45 sec plank

I did 101 reps, but really only because of the last 2 things. My shoulders are still totally fried from last Wednesday, I couldn’t get down into the dip, so subbed out squats right away. And I only had like 5 reps of the push press.

Bleh. Getting old is shitty sometimes =)

WOD was back squat: 3-3-3-3-3

I did 135-165-185, then 135-135 just to get some depth to my squats. I was struggling at 185. My one-rep max is 225, and 5-rep is 195, so I think I’ve lost a little bit.

Time for a normal week hopefully. See y’all tomorrow!

Today’s WOD:

10 rounds for time – 10 burpees / 10 pushups

Time: What time? Just happy to get through it!

Scaled down when, in the 2nd round, my arms both gave out. Apparently, all the weight I lost was muscle. Boo. But I went for close to 20 minutes so it’s a start.

7 weeks away is too long. I hope to at least be back in pre-injury shape by September or something!

Wednesday … I’ll be back. Finally. My foot is still a little discolored, but hasn’t been sore.

Weight’s at 204. Survived Vegas and 6 weeks of inactivity without blimping up. NICE

One week until I go back to the doctor. Been eating really well which is the only reason I haven’t turned into a blimp again. Plus lots of situps =)

Weight is down to about 205. 199 is going to be amazing – haven’t been that in probably 20 years if not more.

I’m gonna kick ass when I’m healthy again.

So I went to the podiatrist this morning since the swelling in my foot really hasn’t gone down in 2 weeks.

They took another set of x-rays – turns out the hospital x-rays missed 2 fractures.

So I’m now in an aircast and they’re telling me 4-6 weeks before I can really start training again.

Going to try to lean out through diet and situps in the meantime. It’s about the only thing that doesn’t put pressure on my foot. Maybe I can find a pool and see if there’s a swimming WOD I can do???

My foot’s still not quite right yet, it’s still purple pretty much all around. I’m going to try to get to the box tomorrow night and Saturday to at least do something, whatever I can, even if it’s just simple stuff.

Been eating really clean in the meantime, just so I don’t balloon up.

You have to be kidding. Am I gonna start a new trend – 2 days on, 6 days off?

First of all, the WOD – back squat 5-5-5-5-5. I did 135-165-175-185-195. My 1 rep max was 225, so I felt pretty good.

So the injury: I managed to drop a 5 pound metal plate on my foot at the end, taking plates off the barbell. Didn’t break it, thank goodness, but it’s a bad bone bruise and I’ve been told to stay off my feet for a little while. I can’t really walk right now, just kind of shuffle.

Oh well, this means shitloads of situps the next few days.
